In recent decades there has been plenty of research published on the motivations and characteristics of cultural consumers, but very few of the publications have studied how cultural consumption habits are developed from a consumer behaviour point of view. This Special Issue provides an opportunity to report on cultural socialization processes. During this period of rapid change in the behaviour of young cultural consumers, it is important to report on current research on the transmission of cultural practices. I would like to express our gratitude to the guest editors, Maud Derbaix and Valérie-Inés de La Ville, for their commitment and intellectual rigour in the elaboration and realization of this Special Issue.
